Anger doesn’t have to be an external outburst. Many people hold it in. This inward anger, which isn’t often visible to outsiders, can lead to or exacerbate voices that may become abusive or harmful to one's self.
Anger and grief are often interlinked. Denial of grief can often result in anger, as denial of anger can make underlying grief feel more vulnerable.
Learning how to deal with both of these powerful emotions is a valuable tool. During this course we will look at stereotypes, community fears, coping with trauma, transgenerational protest, the words we use, symbolism, automatic art, freedom of expression and denial – in the context of anger, grief and voices. Learn through the work and awareness of Initially NO and Fi Robinson who both have lived-experience of hearing voices and recovery and are members of the Voices Vic training team.
