Medical Deans is holding its 2017 Annual Conference with this year’s host The University of Adelaide from October 12-13, 2017 in the Premiership Suite at the Adelaide Oval, Adelaide.

There is a comprehensive programme including the Allan Carmichael Memorial Lecture by Professor Ian Puddey and the Conference Dinner at the National Wine Centre.

The Conference commences on Thursday, 12 October 2017 with the opening address by Professor Ian Symonds, Dean of Medicine, The University of Adelaide. The participants include the Deans of Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea medical schools and stakeholders. The Conference will include UMAT, GAMSAT satellite meetings and discussions covering sustainable clinical academic pathways, Indigenous health, medical workforce challenges and the NHMRC grants programme reform.

The Conference Dinner will be held on the evening of October 12 at the National Wine Centre, nestled in the heart of the Adelaide’s Botanic Gardens. Canapés and Entrée will be served while enjoying the amazing views of the Botanic Gardens and the company of colleagues before dinner.

The Faculty Managers' face to face meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 11 followed by the annual dinner at Pranzo.

The Medical Deans Annual Conference is a great opportunity to network with colleagues, hear from key stakeholders and discuss the latest challenges in health, medical education and research.
